Anyone know what song this lyric is from? I'll give you nothing if you get it right, so don't worry about trying.

Anyway, I heard this song come on this morning on the way to work, and decided that, though I totally love this song, it falls into my category of lyrics I call: Good-thing-the-beat-is-so-rockin-cause'-the words-are-whack.

I get the joke, cup o' sugar. And I really like the song. I just can't help but try to incorporate it into real life. Maybe it's just me. "Give me some sugar... I am your neigh-bor". Can you imagine if a guy actually came up to you with that line? ..."So what buddy? The short distance between my residence & yours in this neighborhood in no way entitles you to any of my "sugar"... And no, I will not come home with you. And I think that's your Schwinn being towed."

I'm a lyric listen-to-er. Er... I listen to lyrics. When a song comes on, I listen to the lyrics over the melody. I have one talent, and that is memorization. I memorize songs from the first time I hear them. And I remember them forever after. Every lyric, beat, pause, (even remembering the dances I made up for some songs during my middle school years...you know you all did it)

Anyway, that really isn't my point. My POINT is: Because I am a lyric person, I have a hard time enjoying a lot of songs... Cause when you listen to lyrics, or read them, without the funky beat... They can be creepy, illiterate, whacked out weird, or down right disturbing.

Now, there is good weird and bad weird.
I like to think of myself as "good weird", but thats not really what we are talking about.
And i'm probably in the "bad weird" category anyhow.

Certain lines stick out to me, and I think "I'd love to hear someone say that in real life."
But the song that can sum up "bad weird" for me best at this current time is...Drumroll...

"Bedrock"
A few lines from the winning song:

"She got that good, good, she Michael Jackson Bad" ...huh?

"And now we murderers, because we killin' time" ...My favorite.

"He on my low scrunch, He on my Echo Whites" ...Huh? Scrunchie?

"I'm that red bull, now lets fly away" ... Oh dear, why can't someone say that to me?

"I race for your love, Shake n' Bake Ricky Bobby" ....sigh

I'd go on, but there are very few lines I feel comfortable sharing on my little family blog.

Ok, that's all. I'd say I've sufficiently rambled on, no doubt.
I am a lyric person... Now you know.
The end.

These are really good.
That's a shame...

Ok, so I just got married, as you all most likely know by now. What you may not know is that I hate the dentist. Loathe going there. Really, really no likey. Unfortunately for me, my husband doesn't share my hatred. And unfortunately (only for me) I married into full dental coverage. Therefore, I had to make an appointment...and go. I also made an appointment for my 4 year old step-son. I have compiled a Will vs. Me list, depicting the differences in these two appointments:

Will- Totally stoked to go after only 4 years of his little life
Me- Haven't been to a dentist in 10 years

Will- Couldn't stop sharing his excitement for his upcoming appointment.
Me- Having nervous fits for the 15 days leading up to my appointment.

Will- Woke me up at 6am asking when we could leave for the dentist appt at 9.
Me- Called the dentist beforehand to request Valium to calm me before I got to my appt.

Will- Agreed to let me accompany him back to the dental chair.
Me- Begged my sister-in-law & husband to come with me for moral support

Will: Realized his appointment was almost over, and frowned.
Me- realized that there is no laughing gas is present at this particular dentist office. And cried.

Will- Happily agreed to pictures taken of him throughout his appointment.
Me- Threatened my sister-in-laws life if any photos were snapped.

Will- Got to pick out of the Treasure Chest after his appointment
Me- Got to pick up another appointment card after my appointment

Will- No cavities!
Me- Not telling... :/

Last week Will & I went with some of my friends & their boys to the Seattle Science Center. I had never been there, and it was really fun. Especially the girl time, which I don't get a lot of. The last picture is my favorite :)

Here are a few pics of our place. Surprisingly it took all of 2 days for us to unpack & clean the darn place. The motivation mainly being William, and wanting some consistency for him after SO MANY changes these past few months. It was a LOT of work. But it feels gooood. Good to be home :)

...Now it's time to decorate!

Italic
We LOVE our new backyard. Brett doesn't actually say so, but I know he loves having a yard to tend to. Will & I love our garden & creek.

Now if it would just FREAKING stop raining we could enjoy it...

Goodbye #3. This apartment is where Brett & I had our first date, where I met William, where I was carried over the threshold...and where 1970 got to keep it's style.

Goodbye apartment. We WILL miss you :(

On to bigger & better (and less pale yellow) things.

ps... For anyone freaking out right now... We are definitely putting up a safety fence at the beach of the creek very soon.

Ok, so my house doesn't look quite like this anymore... But I still don't wanna do it.
