I know he will get here eventually. But as I have shared with (whined to) friends and family (and anyone who will listen) a part of me can't help but feel like he will never come. That he will shrink back down to a little embryo, then disappear altogether. And doctors will be baffled and will study me and exclaim that they have "never seen anything like it." It's hard not to feel like that at this point. At my doctor appt today, my OB let me know that I have made zero progress. I know, I know... It can happen "like that" and he will "be here before I know it". But I'm ready now! Baby clothes are washed, sorted by size, folded and put away, crib is up, diapers/wipes are stocked, car seat is buckled in, jogger is assembled, & mom is sufficiently fat.
Come on Baby Henry... Momma wants to snuggle you.

I thought I was crazy - it's so nice to hear that other moms have silly, emotional and unrealistic ideas take over their minds while trying so hard to patiently await the arrival of their baby. My little Luna was 4 days late and I can remember crying to my husband that after my long pregnancy, I just wanted my baby - I had truly convinced myself she was never going to come. But to my surprise ... She really did come :)
I am so excited for you Lisa! Lunas birthday was the most beautiful day of my life! Good luck! I can't wait to see pictures! -

Do everything in the book possible! Eat spicy food, drink pineapple juice, go for a walk, etc. Maybe something will help!
Value this as the first of MANY lessons in patience with offspring. I'm so excited for you.... and Henry is a darn cute name.
