We are moving! Yipee. We found a great house in Issaquah and are moving in June 1st. I am so excited, mostly because this house has a back yard, and a creek! Will is thrilled to have room to play, and I am pumped to finally have somewhere to garden and have fun with.

With the new move coming, I will finally be able to do some decorating. I have been itching to do so for some time, but there was little motivation in Brett's apartment, since none of my decor ideas involved puke yellow carpet, brown seventies-inspired plaid linoleum, yellow chipped countertops...you get the idea, right?

So it begins... These are my new kitchen colors. I have wanted to use this retro color duo for some time now, so this has been a fun project! And I'm obsessed with them. Another thing I am obsessed with? Thrift store & amazing eBay finds. And that is where these all came from.

The only thing more fun than decorating. is doing it at an amazing price with diy projects & secondhand "treasures". Much more to come, I'm on a bit of a high.

-Aqua cake stand: $6 at thrift store
-Bronze three-tier rack: $5 at thrift store (painted red, my mother-in-laws great idea!)
-Red salt & pepper shakers: $10 online
-Aqua vintage style kitchen timer: $3 ebay win!
-Aqua dishes: 49 cents a piece at thrift store, and I got the whole set!
-Red vase: free! (took from a former co-worker that didn't like the color)
-Oven mitt: $10 on amazon
Not pictured:
-Vintage inspired red kitchen clock: $10 ebay
-red dot rugs from IKEA: $5 a piece!

Happy Monday!

  1. Too cute!!! The wheels are turning in my head about vinyl...

  1. Totally! I saw a metal kitchen sign spelling 'EAT' in bright red old-dinerish font online. I was thinking we could totally recreate in using vinyl!

  1. Yay! I can't wait to have my own house to decorate. You'll have to post pics when you are all done.
